You know, in the Midwest in the 50’s, used to have carnivals that came to town. Most of the time…they used to be called…they always had somebody called “the geek”. I don’t know if there’s any of you have heard of a geek before. A geek is a man who eats a live chicken, bites the head off, eats the head first, then he eats the rest of it. Well, it used to cost a quarter to see the geek Anyway, this dude was funky, he was low-down, all the way down. (…..) but he used to get insulted all the time, you know. Anyhow, he pretty much kept to himself, but I did find out on thing from him. He used to (…..) other people being freaky. I used to remember that. Anyway….. (before Ballad Of A Thin Man)
Thank you. Right. I was invited to play at the Newport Folk Festival. They invited me there three times. I played this song the last time I was there. They never did invite me back. I don’t hold any grudges. Anyway, sometimes…..I told this man up here who asked me about the song that sometimes the whole world looks to me like Maggie’s Farm, and sometimes I (…..) I Ain’t Gonna Work On Maggie’s Farm No More. (…..).
Thank you. I took a train once from Monterey, Chihuahua, up to San Diego. Anyway, this guys was sitting next to me on this train, a man wearing a blanket. He (…..) to know everything. One of them (…..) guys. His eyes were burning up, smoke was coming out of his nostrils. I though I’d talk to him. When I turned around to look at him, he was gone. He’d either got off when the train stopped. (…..) I was hallucinating which I could have been doing too. (before Señor (Tales Of Yankee Power))
Make sure to state after (or during) which song the words are spoken.
