Concert - Rotterdam Folk '78

Thank you. This is off the new album, Baby Please Stop Crying.

Thank you. This is a tune I recorded a few years ago with The Band on an album called Planet Waves. (voice from the audience). I think so! Ha ha ha. (before Going Going Gone)

We’re gonna take a break right here. Go back stage, got to fix a flat tire on the bus. (after Going Going Gone)

Thank you. This is another song off the just released album, called Tales Of Yankee Power.

Thank you. All right. This is called All Along The Watchtower. I’d like to dedicate this to the late great Jimi Hendrix.

Thank you. That was David Mansfield on the violin. I taught him how to play that. (after All Along The Watchtower)

Thank you. I wanna introduce the band to you now. You know I never asked you to do stupid things. Never asked you to clap along, never tell you any jokes. I do want to tell applause out of you (…..) for this band. Show your appreciation. On the bass and drums, from England, Ian Wallace, on the bass guitar, Jerry Scheff. All right. On the keyboards, Alan Pasqua. Lead guitar, Billy Cross. On the rhythm guitar, a direct descendant to Stephen Foster, Steve Soles. All right. On the mandolin, violin, steel guitar , 6 string guitar, David Mansfield. On the tenor saxophone, a man you will no (…..), you remember, Mr. Steven Douglas. Yeah. On the conga drums from Detroit, Bobbye Hall. On the background vocals tonight. Lots of people say they sound like a group called The I-Threes. I'm not too familiar with that group. Or The Supremes, but they don't sound like The Supremes. They sound more like the old Raylettes. I wanna introduce them to you now. On the left my fiancée, Carolyn Dennis. On the right, my current girlfriend, Jo Ann Harris. And in the middle, my childhood sweetheart, taught me everything I know. Helena Springs. We gonna do this song recorded a few years back in New York City. Called It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding.

Thank you. All right. This is a song I been doing for quite a few years now. I recorded this about fifteen years ago as a matter of fact. (before The Times They Are A-Changin’)

Thank you. Goodnight. I hope these songs mean as much to you as they do to me. Goodnight. (after The Times They Are A-Changin’)

All right. It’s time for us to go. Time for that part of the evening again. So I’ll leave you with this one last tune. (before Forever Young)
