Thank you, thank you. This is a new song we recorded a few weeks ago. Back in America. (before Baby Stop Crying)
Thank you. I wanna say hello to the Riley family tonight. Who came down from Manchester. (before Tangled Up In Blue)
Thank you. Sign of the times, Maggie's Farm. I Ain't Gonna Work On Maggie's Farm No More. This is the song that started it off for me.
Thank you! Gonna play this tune here and take a break for a while. Go back stage, wake up. Anyway, I recorded this with The Band a few years back. On one of those albums. I can't remember which. Anyway it goes like this, these days. (before Going, Going, Gone)
This is a song I wrote a while back for a friend of mine. And she's in the house tonight so I'm gonna play it. (before To Ramona)
Thank you! I wanna introduce the band to you. I think a whole lot of this band and I know you do too. On the drums, your friend and my friend, Ian Wallace. Finally got an English drummer, he comes from Great Britain. On the bass guitar, and you know how good he is, Jerry Scheff. On the keyboards, Alan Pasqua. On the conga drums, from Detroit, Bobbye Hall. On lead guitar, from Mobile, Alabama, Billy Cross. On the rhythm guitar, from San Antonio, Texas, Steve Soles. On the violin, mandolin, just about everything he plays, Mr. David Mansfield. Tomorrow night I'm gonna give out his phone number. All right, on the tenor saxophone ladies and gentlemen, it gives me great pleasure to introduce a very notorious man, Mr. Steve Douglas. On the background vocals tonight, yeah, on the left, my fiancée Carolyn Dennis. And on the right, my ex-wife's best friend, Jo Ann Harris. And in the middle, my current girlfriend, Helena Springs. I wrote and recorded this in New York City not too long ago. It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding.
Thank you! All right, we're gonna play this one last song and beat it on down the line. So, until we meet again, drive on safely home. (before Forever Young)
All right. I'd like to dedicate this tune to the late, great Jimi Hendrix. A lot of people from America have come to Europe to gain any sort of success. (plays All Along The Watchtower) Thank you. David Mansfield on the violin. I taught him everything he knows.
Make sure to state after (or during) which song the words are spoken.
